Hi, I'm Devon.

I'm an artist from Newfoundland, Canada. In my art practice, Regular Studio, my work is a reflection of the emotions, stories, and lessons learned through life both past and present.

Primarily I am an oil painter, and my distinct art style and creative expression is achieved through bold brushwork and non-traditional colour choices. I believe there is beauty in everything, and I use impressionistic techniques to draw attention to the beauty in colours and subjects that are overlooked and disregarded. My goal in art is to create pieces that stir emotional reactions and resonate with those who view them.

As such, I have also developed a mixed media series I lovingly call "Garbage Art" that is a love letter to my younger self, while also being an "F-you" to perfectionism, comparison, and the idea that art has rules.
